CAN MY CHILD TRY A FREE LESSON BEFORE THEY JOIN?
Yes we always offer a free taster session for the children to try before they decide if they want to join up, if they do not want to join after the free lesson that is no problem at all.
HOW MUCH ARE THE LESSONS?
Should your child want to join after attending the free taster session we charge on a month-to-month basis (46 weeks of lessons in the year are provided and are split into 12 equal monthly payments below)
  • £34 for one child per month
  • £54 for two children per month
  • £74 for three children per month
  • £94 for four children per month
For your membership fee we will provide 46 lessons in the year (we are closed for two weeks in Christmas, two weeks in Easter and two weeks in Summer)
DO WE PAY FOR LESSONS WHEN YOU ARE CLOSED FOR SIX WEEKS IN THE YEAR?
No, 46 weeks of provided lessons (not 52 weeks) in the year are split into 12 equal monthly payments which means you do not pay for the for the six weeks we are closed for holiday periods.
DO WE GET REFUNDS IF WE MISS ANY OF THE 46 LESSONS PROVIDED IN THE YEAR?
We do not issue refunds as we prepay for hall hire, instructors etc to enable the class being available. Parents are welcome to ask if any other sessions are available if the children miss their normal lesson
HOW DO I PAY FOR LESSONS IF MY CHILD WANTS TO JOIN?
The first month’s fees are requested in cash, the second month and onwards fees are requested via a standing order method which parents are asked to set up.
CAN I PAY IN CASH EACH MONTH?
Only for the first month, for second month and onwards we ask parents to set up a standing order.
HOW MUCH IS THE UNIFORM IF MY CHILD WANTS TO JOIN?
Uniforms when joining are provided for free
HOW DO I GET THE FREE UNIFORM?
At the end of the free taster session, you will be given an information pack to take home with a sheet for size required for uniform which you hand in the following lesson you attend.
HOW MUCH IS THE UNIFORM ONCE MY CHILD NEEDS A NEW ONE?
  • White Karate Zone t-shirts are £15
  • White Karate Zone trousers are £15
  • Black Karate Zone t-shirts are £15
  • Black Karate Zone trousers are £20
CAN MY CHILD WEAR UNIFORMS PURCHASED ELSEWHERE OR WEAR NON UNIFORM?
No, we have a policy of all the instructors and children wearing Karate Zone uniforms which are provided by us, however…….. sometimes uniforms might be misplaced, not washed or dirty before lesson starts so in these situations it is ok to wear non uniform so they do not miss out on the class.
HOW MUCH IS THE JOINING FEE, REGISTRATION FEE, LICENCE FEE AND INSURANCE FEE?
All of these are provided for free throughout your stay with us
DO I NEED TO BUY MY CHILD BOXING GLOVES, HEAD GUARDS, ETC TO USE IN LESSONS?
No, we provide these for the children to use for free
ARE ALL THE INSTRUCTORS BLACK BELT QUALIFIED, DBS CHECKED AND FULLY INSURED?

Minimum of 3
HOW MANY CHILDREN PER CLASS?
Maximum of 30
HOW DO I CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP?
You just need to cancel your standing order which you can do by visiting you branch or using online banking.
DO I NEED TO GIVE ANY NOTICE PERIOD TO CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP?
No, we just ask for parents to inform us asap so we can offer the space to another child who might be on a waiting list.
WHAT ARE THE OTHER COSTS APART FROM THE MONTLY FEE?
Should your child meet targets they are entered into the grading exams to attempt the next belt colour, these grading exams take place approx once every 9 months should your child meet the targets.
Grading fees are
  • £50 for one child
  • £80 for two children
  • £100 for three children
  • £110 for four children
WHAT DOES THE GRADING FEE COVER?
    • Four examiners’ wages for attending to assess the children
    • One hour exam
    • Exam hall hire
    • Children’s grading/ licence book cost
     
    Should your child pass the grading this fee will also cover a ceremony which is held at a separate date to the grading exam, and this grading fee will also cover
     
    • Cost of the new belt
    • Certificate
    • Ceremony hall hire,
    • Instructors’ wages for ceremony
    • Invitations for unlimited guests to attend for free to watch the children perform sparring, wrestling, pad work, fitness as well as the curriculum they passed to achieve the new belt
